ISE Library Philosophy and Goals

Statement
The library philosophy of ISE library is derived from the overall philosophy of the school.
The school library is an educational and cultural environment where individuals are exposed to ideas through the use of print and non-print resources in many media formats. The school library fosters the development of inquirers, communicators and risk-takers, reflection, and a love of reading in its students. It also strives to provide teachers with instructional materials and professional resources.
The program and services evolve from the school’s curriculum (IB PYP, MSP, and IB Diploma) requirements. The library offers an array of resources to implement, support and enhance a high quality, internationally recognized education as well as to provide independent leisure reading and its own program for teaching literary appreciation, information literacy skill and affect positive change in the face of 21st century challenges.
