In conjunction with the literature festival "Head Read" (Good Lines) there is a Poetree up in Vabaduse Square this week for all the Tallinn residents and visitors to put their poems up onto.
The Poetree will be up until Saturday, May 8th until 22:00. The installation will come down with a 4 hour "Eurovision" style poetry and music performance "Suur Prõmm" (Poetry Slam). The audience also will have a chance to participate in the performance.
Estonian and international poets and musicians will be taking part of the Slam with Benjamin Zephaniah in the lead. (Please read the entry above to find out more about him and his work).
All there is to say that ISE beat Tallinn with its Poetree. Go put one up on this one as well.
